On January 7th and 8th Grace Community will begin "The Cure for the Chronic Life" - a new sermon and study series based on the book from Abingdon Press. Deanna Favre, breast-cancer survivor and wife of NFL legend Brett Favre, and Shane Stanford, an HIV positive pastor, explore their experiences of overcoming chronic hopelessness to discover the transforming strength of God in this powerful book and Bible study. Through the lens of their struggles they reveal the "CURE" - an in-depth exploration of Scripture in four primary categories: Compassion, Understanding, Response and Encouragement. This study will expose you to a spiritual "treatment plan" that will be a guide for the journey out of hopelessness and into the hope and encouragement found in Jesus Christ. If you are living in major crisis or simply struggling with daily challenges, "The Cure" offers a Christ-centered path toward healing and grace. Join us in worship beginning January 7th and 8th as our pastors explore the topics of the book in the light of Scripture. You will also be able to participate in a small group discussion in any of number of groups that will offer the study. Books are available for $10 each in the Main Office. You may also sign-up to join a group at the Small Groups Kiosk or simply click here.
