Find Your Spiritual Growth Path

We have found that Grace folks want to know their own path to spiritual growth.This study series directly focuses on something that emerged from our "Dare to Dream" journey last fall. A significant number of people in many of the "Dare to Dream"small groups identified that finding a personal path for spiritual growth was vitally important to them.

People at Grace want to know where they are spiritually and specifically what they need to do to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. There is no "one size fits all" when it comes to spiritual growth. Each person is in a different placeand needs something tailored to their growth needs and their individual way of learning.

John Ortberg's New Study Series

John Ortberg, whose studies we have used for a number of years here at Grace, has written a new book and has developed a series called "The Me I Want To Be". This study gives practical, Scripture-based guidance on helping individual Christians discern where they are spiritually and what they need in order to grow.. The small group curriculum includes a DVD with John teaching along with a participant's guide. We plan to make this series available to all existing small groups and classes as well as forming some new groups around this study.

We plan to begin this study and Sermons Series the week of August 28th & 29th. Many existing small groups and Sunday School classes will be participating. If you are already a member of one of those classes, you may participate with one of them - just ask your leader. Many of our leaders have previewed the book over the summer.

If you are not already involved in a small group, just sign up for a weekday evening or weekend time that works for you by just clicking here. We will have several brand new groups forming with leaders trained by our new ChristCare team. You could be a part of one of these new groups! As a special bonus, we are working with a company called Monvee and have worked out a special arrangement with them for participants in the study to take a powerful on-line assessment that will help you to identify barriers to your spiritual growth

and give some direction for next steps to take. There is information about Monvee and the assessment in John Ortberg's book.

Membership and Orientation Class!

Hear the story of how Grace Community began, learn about Grace’s unique approach to worship and discipleship, understand the basics of United Methodist teachings on the Christian life, and ask those tough questions about faith. You will also learn about prayer, small groups, spiritual gifts and much more in an interactive and welcoming environment. Discovering Grace is for folks desiring to join Grace as new members and others who just want to learn more about the church. The next class is scheduled for September 24 from 5:30-9:30 and September 25 from 8:30-noon.
