Ministries

At Grace, we mean ALL when we say all are welcome! We’d love to help you find a place where you connect, feel loved, and experience growth. Please reach out if you need help with any of these ministries!

ADULTS

Our adult ministries encompass everything from traditional-style Sunday school classes to small groups built around a shared passion for a particular outreach. If you are looking for a Bible study that is only a few weeks’ commitment or a small group connection to build lifelong relationships, this is the place to start.

NURSERY
(BIRTH TO AGE 3)

Here at Grace, we love, love, love our Grace babies! We want you to feel comfortable during your time on our campus, so feel free to keep your little one with you or to allow our Safe Sanctuary certified nursery staff to provide a loving, safe environment while you attend service, class, or events. Nursery is always provided for our weekend worship as well as many of the church and community events held throughout the week.

WORSHIP & ARTS

Worship at Grace is so much more than just music. There are many people working both in front and behind the scenes to create a space where we can pour out our praise to God and allow him to renew and refresh us on this faith journey. From our Tribe of Dan ministry that prepares the altar and interactive worship elements weekly to the occasional drama or special reading, there are so many ways to be involved!

YOUTH (6TH-12TH)

We are a multi-generational community here at Grace and there are many opportunities for youth to connect to Christ, Grace, and each other! You can join our texting updates to receive information about upcoming events and our monthly newsletter by texting our youth leader, Allison, directly at 318-572-3855.

GRACE PLACE
(OLDER 3’S-2ND)

Between the time children turn three and finish the kindergarten year the change is astounding! Each Sunday morning our Safe Sanctuary certified volunteers work to create a loving, safe environment where our faith is shared through stories, music, art, and play. Nursery is provided for this age group during Sunday service, as well as most of the other activities held for the older children.

WELCOME TEAM

Grace Community’s facilities are used for more than just Sunday worship; we also provide space for classes, support groups, and civic/cultural activities. Our Welcome Ministry works to create an atmosphere of hospitality for anyone on our campus. Through the various aspects of Welcome Ministry, volunteers share their gifts of hospitality, service, and administration as they live into Grace Community’s mission statement of “Christ, through grace, restoring lives and transforming seekers to servants.”

This ministry area includes:

  • Ushers & Greeters – the friendly “face of Grace” greeting worshippers, handing out bulletins, and assisting in worship.

  • Communion Bread Bakers – Baking bread for monthly communion services and assisting in setting up and clearing the altar

  • Special Events Team – Assisting with planning and serving at church-wide events such as seasonal Fire Pit Gatherings, Holy Week Events, Back-2-School Pool Party, and others

PRAYER

Life can be so many things all at once—joyous, celebratory, difficult, heartbreaking, complicated. We would love the opportunity to cover you and your family in prayer during any season of life. If you’d like to request prayer, a pastoral visit, or simply meet with a pastor, please reach out!

GRACE LAND
(1ST-4TH GRADE)

Our Safe Sanctuary certified staff and volunteers have the joy and privilege of helping our elementary school students grow in their understanding of God’s grace and what it means to live out their gifts. Children have the opportunity to serve as acolytes in service, take part in special worship services, and participate in other areas of church life and ministry.

PRODUCTION

The production ministry has certainly changed a lot over the past few years. We’ve gone from recording a single service only to live streaming Sunday services as well as special services throughout the year.

This group is composed of youth, young adults, and some adults who are young at heart. Come check out how Grace is extending community beyond our walls and using technology as a way to connect others to the message of God’s grace and goodness.
