Grace started with a patch of land on Ellerbe Road, $3,000, and a big idea. In the summer of 1992, Rev. Rob Weber was sent to start a new kind of church. Living-room conversations grew into Sunday-evening gatherings at Live Oak Retirement Community, and on December 5, 1992, Grace held its very first worship service at Captain Shreve High School.
In March 1996, a caravan of worshippers made the drive from Captain Shreve to our home on Ellerbe Road. More than thirty years later, our calling hasn't changed: to be a place where anyone can seek God, connect with others, and grow deeper in God's goodness and love. We believe grace is for everyone, and we'd love to walk alongside you on the journey from seeker to servant.
