Reaching New People with Rev. Chad Brooks
What does it mean to reach new people and grow your smaller church? Rev. Chad Brooks, congregational vitality strategist for the Annual Conference, will teach about how to shift your understanding of the local mission field to declare what growth looks tangibly looks like. He will also share a specific strategy to create metrics that help assess current health and reach new people.
Mastering the One-Board Model with Rev. Mollie McGee
Rev. Mollie McGee, pastor of Aldersgate in Slidell, LA, will offer a course in transitioning your church to the one-board model. So many smaller churches struggle to get enough people to serve on the various committees like SPRC or PPRC, finance, trustees, and church council. The one-board model consolidates church leadership into, well, one-board.
Community Engagement with Rev. Sarah Shoup
Rev. Sarah Shoup will offer a course in community engagement. She will discuss ways to bring your church out of the walls, make meaningiful partnerships with the community you serve with and in, and how to sustain the ministry.

3rd-5th Grade Sunday School
3rd-5th Grade Sunday School
On September 17th during worship, we will present Bibles to the 3rd graders (and 4th and 5th graders that need them.)
On September 24th we will begin a Bible study to teach the 3rd through 5th graders how to use their Bible. This will be at 9:30 on Sunday mornings. This class will conclude on Sunday, October 29th.
The next week we will continue offering classes to this age group but with a new curriculum. Why six weeks? It fits our curriculum, it creates a habit of being here, and builds bonds with the teachers and other students! We hope you'll join us!
